Assembleia is a group exhibition curated by Daniela Avellar that takes place at Galeria Refresco from April 28 to May 1, 2022. Assembleia presents a composition of interconnected works. The works by artists Marta Supernova, Marianna Guinle, Daniel Frickmann, Dani Cavalier, Eduardo Baltazar, Michael Moreira, Zé Tepedino, Natasha Ribas, Andrew Silva, Honda, Jade Sassara, Augusto Portella, and Nathalie Ventura are not only connected by the curatorial theme — they reconfigure one another, creating couplings and generating transfers.

In Daniela Avellar’s words, “The process of creating this exhibition begins with a relatively simple formulation: bringing formalizations to the exhibition space around an idea of hybridity.” The works are conceived together to form an organic whole in the exhibition space. The holistic methodology that runs through Assembleia requires a unique curatorial and creative effort from both the gallery and the curator.

Throughout the program of Assembleia, Galeria Refresco hosts the Roda Cultural da Rocinha for an activation in the exhibition space, with an open rap circle for the public.
