Located at Rua do Rosário, 26, Refresco began its activities in October 2019 as a reference independent art space in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Founded by partners Déborah Zapata and Renato Canivello, Refresco’s trajectory has established names from a new generation of artists, with a strong formative character parallel to its commercial activities. Since its inauguration, it has organized several residencies, lecture series, and courses related to artistic practice or topics relevant to the contemporary landscape. Refresco adopts an integrated and transversal approach to artistic production, promoting a range of activities that span from nurturing emerging talents to their insertion into the art market.
